The visually stunning RedCape Theatre present an inventive blend of physical theatre and spoken word. Funny and moving, The Idiot Colony is based on real life accounts of the treatment and incarceration of “moral defectives” in 1940s England.

Forgotten for decades inside a mental hospital, three women escape their present by remembering their past. In the asylum’s hair salon, to the strains of Rick Astley and Glenn Miller, they relive wartime affairs, illicit trysts and childhood secrets.
